Lightwave f2 ultra tent
The f2 ultra is the latest addition to Lightwave’s ultralight, high-performance tent range. Weighing in at an incredible 2.5 kg, it nevertheless offers all the weather-beating abilities of the full geodesic design. Thanks to the greater internal volume created by its four-pole structure, the f2 ultra also feels very spacious for a two-person tent, even though it only has the footprint of a t1 or g1. It is uniquely suited for mountain travel, wilderness trekking and lightweight expeditions where low weight and the ability to withstand bad weather are of the highest priority.

The g2 ultra is the big brother to the g1 ultra – a spacious two-person, three-pole semi-geodesic tent ideal for backpacking anywhere. In fact, it is roomy enough for three people who want to travel as light as possible, giving them a shared weight of less than 0.80 kg each. The highest-strength ultralight fabrics have been used throughout to ensure both durability and full protection from the elements all year round – this is a true four-season trekking tent. The t0 ultra is an exceptionally roomy and lightweight one-person tunnel tent. It is ideal for solo camping and travel where low weight and compact size are of the highest priority. Although a one-person tent, the t0 ultra is in fact surprisingly spacious and can accommodate two adults at a squeeze (a common if cosy solution in mountain marathon events) or an adult and child. Its wedge-shaped inner gives space where it’s needed – round the head and shoulders – and its aerodynamic two-pole shape vastly outperforms the rest of the field in bad weather, although in extreme conditions secure pitching and anchoring are obviously imperative. The porch area is small but can be made more spacious by unpegging the front of the inner tent and folding this back.
